Dear Bryan and Anne, Baptiste is SOOOOOO beatuiful! I am so sorry we have not been more in touch. Bryan, I hope you got my email when he was born. I just heard about your website from Pete and Jen last night. Sage is doing great and let me promise you that being parents becomes more and more amazing as the baby becomes more there every day. I will be checking out this website often. Take care, Stacee

Hi Bryan, well done for Babtiste he is so so cute!!! I am sure you are enjoying every day with him and Ann.
I see you have problems with plastic bottles for him and so did I with Julia. So here is what I have found, NUK does a glass bottle with a natural ‘caoutchou’ top, the other benefit is that the 'nipple' has a special form which is supposed not to alter the mouth of the baby. It is really the best I have found so far. A big hug to the little family and I hope to see Babtise very soon.
Take care, Carole.

Bryan,

I can concur with what you are saying. Sigg is a very well established company. I wouldn't mind trying out one of there bottles.

Fear does sell, something we try to avoid over here at HealthEGoods. We like to actually help people with real problems and offer quality alternatives to the very expensive medicine over here.

Personally I use Filtered water for my canteen. I have heard complaints about the KK tasting like metal. However, it seems to be almost 50/50 on what people say about SIGG vs. KK. I assume both have the upsides and downsides.

I love the fact that it's 100% steel, and I use it camping and sports and just about for everything actually. I drink tons of water @ my house because it's free (of course I am cheap). My KK has lots of battle marks as far as being dropped and never has split on me.

The fact that SIGG has been around for so long make them very reputable and hey I would buy from them for sure, the lining part is the only thing that turns me off, because I always wonder, what is in this lining anyways? Sometimes it takes scientist a 100 years to figure out something is bad. For ex. Global warming, now that the whole US has figured out it's "Bad" for the enviornment, don't you think it's too late? If we just figured that global warming is a problem how long will it take for us to figure out the next big thing.

Thanks for the BLOG Bryan I enjoy it.
Anyhow back to work for me.
Enjoy the weekend!

Mr T,
I see your point. This is the opinion you see all over the internet. But there are a few interesting points about that. One is that Sigg has been around for 100 years and they have never had a complaint or anyone saying they thing there are issues with the bottle. Who does not drink out of a coated aluminum can every day? No one has asked coke for their can coating formula...
And even though the Kleen Kanteen is food grade stainless steel - it tastes like a metal lolly pop. Can that be good ? If the sigg bottle gets worn or damaged then I get a new one. Just like my teflon coated non stick pans - that stuff is terrible for you; but if you replace it at the first sign of damage - no big deal.
Too often now people research things on the net, talk with friends and then base their decision on conjecture and facts that are not based on experience. I have a policy of discernment - to be sensitive and to make experiments myself. We need to use our own reflection not just come to a conclusion based on the mental skills of corporate marketers. That is not thought - it is propaganda.
As an expatriate living in France - I can tell you that it is a bigger problem in America then anyone would let you think... Health fears sell big time in the USA. After all, most americans will just roll over at the slightest fear and give up there bill of rights - why not their wallet too?!?

BTW his site is very good, the service also, and they have some interesting products.

Hi,

I work for Customer Service @ www.healthygoods.com

Many people have preferences for KK or Sigg.
The issue I see with SIGG bottles is that it is Aluminum. Which, is not very safe to drink out of either, and the lining in the bottle, personally, not just saying because we don't sell them, is something I cannot trust. That's like what Beer cans have, special "frost" lining.

Eventually if you boil it enough or clean it enough, or scrub the inside enough, or even drop the aluminum enough, you have to imagine something will each into your water, such as there lining. Hard to believe them when they won't tell you what they are lining the bottle with.

On the other hand. Klean Kanteen do have there share of manufacturing defects, however are a quality 100% Steel bottle. No secret linings in there.

Just my two cents.

Thanks Bryan!

Dear Bryan, Anne & Baptiste. Hello from Suzanne now settled in London awaiting Prisca's arival to start at The Royal Ballet School next weekend - she is very excited.
Well done! Baptiste looks perfect.
Prisca sent me the link to this site of yours today and it is lovely to be in touch. I have been looking at video, photos and catching up on your news.
I came over here nearly four months ago. Been busy - obtained work documents and decided where to look for accommodation, sold the VW and bought a smaller Honda, found an apartment in Dorking (15mins from Gatwick) and have been working 2.5 months as a Project Coordinater, managing 27 environmental survey teams (air monitoring and asbestos controls etc) throughout the UK. We hope that Ivo can get over to spend every 2nd or 3rd weekend. Prisca will be boarding at the school in Richmond Park, coming home only to stay for Saturday nights.
I hope you settle more comfortably into the 'new parents' routine in the next few weeks. I will be keeping tabs!
Love & hugs, Suzanne
